Recently was held a review meeting of Vietnam Cassava Association 2014 and International Conference on sustainable development of cassava in Vietnam by Vietnam Cassava Association and People's Committee of Tayninh province at Tayninh City, Tayninh province.

China halt to import of cassava pulp from Vietnam

China's export markets tapioca starch and cassava products become the largest market of Vietnam, accounting for over 84% of total export turnover of this product in the past 11 months.

The area planted for cassava in Vietnam now has 560,000 ha, exports reached US $ 1.3 billion in 2012 and US $ 1.1 billion in 2013.

Tapioca starch transactions at borders have more vibrant signs due to the increased needs of the Chinese customers.

According to traders, said tapioca starch from Central and South of Vietnam continue to be shipped more to Haiphong port as the more raising-up demand of China. Exchange rate between CNY and VND are supporting the export price of Vietnam.
