Meeting with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment
On 26th June, 2014 President of Vietnam Cassava Association along with some members had a meeting with leaders of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment on environmental issues in the handling of the processing plant Cassava starch.Cassava starch.
a- Opinion of the Association:
At the meeting President Association leaders report to the Ministry on the status of production, processing and consumption of cassava in Vietnam in recent times. At the same time proposing:
(1) having a route of A standard waste water treatment plant for the South East oh Vietnam apply from 2017.
(2) The other areas (mainly mountain areas and far) continues to implement standards B.
(3) For the processing plant starch is preferential access to capital for investment in wastewater treatment systems standards.
b- The opinions and conclusions of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment:
After hearing reports on the status of Vietnam's Association and the opinions of professional bodies Deputy Minister concluded:
(1) Develop environmental standards for manufacturing and processing cassava in Vietnam are necessary and the best in the current situation.
(2) The processing plant starch sources preferential access to investment wastewater treatment system.
Suggest Vietnam Association of notification to Members and through the Association know to register with the Ministry to borrow funds.
(3) Recommendations for the enterprise investment projects of regional planning should identify remote residential projects, environmental assessments reception area to not affect the population.
